SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 21:  Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura today visited various areas of Chrar-e-Sharief constituency and took stock of various developmental works going on in the constituency besides addressing public grievances.

A team of senior officers of R&B, ERA and other departments accompanied the Minister during his tour.

The Minister took stock of the macadamization work at Buchroo, Borwah, Nowpora, Dadvopora, Shumnag, Mugam and Hanjura villages of the Chrar-i-Sharief constituency. During the inspection of the mecdamization work, the minister directed the R&B officers to complete the work within shortest period of time so that people in these areas would not face any inconvenience.

Hanjura also inspected the macadamization work and expressed satisfaction over the quality of macadamization. During his visit to Barwah village, the minister directed the concerned officers that fencing and leveling of the local Masjid ground should be started immediately.

The Minister also directed the officers that construction of drains and culverts should be expedited. He also inspected various irrigation khuls in the constituency.

The Minister while speaking to various delegations of people who met him during an extensive tour said that Government is stressing for better quality of roads so that they won’t be damaged for years to come due to vagaries of nature.

He said that the road which leads to district centre will be upgraded and widened for ease of traffic. The Minister directed the officials to make provisions for proper drainage so that the roads do not get damaged during rains or winter.

The Minister also directed that the important link roads should be repaired and upgraded too in these villages. He appealed the people to remove encroachments voluntarily.
