Agartala, Sep 27 : Director General of Police (DGP) Tripura Akhil Kumar Shukla today reiterated that the criminals responsible for the murder of young TV journalist Shantanu Bhowmik has been identified and all will be booked soon.
Mr Shukla claimed three of them have already been arrested and the court sent them to remand after identification parade and rubbished the allegations against the police regarding timings of detention of two accused.
He said the police have specific information that altogether 10 to 12 persons were involved with the murder of Shantanu Bhowmik on September 20 last at Mandai.
The investigation process carried by Tripura police is on right track, soon remaining criminals would be arrested and police will solve the case, Mr Shukla affirmed.
He said so far, police was unable to recover the mobile phone of Shantanu.(UNI)
