Srinagar, Sep 27 :  Protests broke out in a village in south Kashmir’s Kulgam after two fresh braid chopping incidents were reported since Wednesday morning, taking the total number of such cases to seven in the last 48 hours in the district.
The fresh braid chopping incidents came even as Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Monday asked Director General of Police (DGP) SP Vaid to constitute a special team to probe the mysterious hair chopping incidents in Kulgam and other places of the state.
Hundreds of protesters took to streets at Chemar, Damhal and adjoining areas in Kulgam to protest against alleged failure of the administration and police to catch the culprits. (UNI)
