Srinagar: Large number of people on late tuesday assembled to attend the funeral prayers and burial of slain militant Abdul Qayoom Najar , ‘most wanted’ commander, who was killed on early Monday  while infiltrating into Kashmir Valley from Lachipora Uri.

The funeral prayers for the slain militant were held at Krankshivan colony area of Sopore where thousands of people offered the prayers.

However A complete shutdown is being observed in sopore  belt of on wednesday to mourn the death of  local militant, authorities shuts all educational institues in district baramulla on Wednesday as a precautionary measures to maintain law and order following the killing of slain Abdul Qayoom Najar.
