Jammu, Sept 28 : Hundreds of activists of Jammu and Kashmir Youth Congress, led by its state president Pranav Shagotra, on Thursday staged a gherao at the official residence of Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh to protest against failure of the BJP leadership to convince its coalition partner PDP to declare state holiday on the birth anniversary of last Dogra ruler Maharaja Hari Singh.
The Youth Congress activists also gave vent to their anger against brutal lathicharge on female students of Banaras Hindu University (BHU). (UNI)
