SOPORE: A shutdown is being observed for second consecutive day today in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district to mourn the killing of top Hizb commander Qayoom Najar in a gunfight with government forces.

All shops and other business establishments remained closed while traffic is thin on roads.

Authorities have closed all schools and colleges in Sopore to prevent protests against Najar’s killing.
