SOPORE:  Shutdown is being observed on third consecutive day today in Sopore area of north Kasmir’s Baramulla district against the killing of top militant commander Abdul Qayoom Najar.

Reports said a complete strike was observed in the native area of the slain militant on third consecutive day. All business establishments and shops remained closed in the town while traffic movement were off the road.

Najar was killed in a gunfight near the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri area of the district on Tuesday.
