Panchkula, Oct 3 : Honeypreet Insan alias Priyanka Taneja, the adopted daughter of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, was arrested by Haryana Police from Zirakpur in Punjab on Tuesday.
Confirming her arrest, Panchkula Commissioner of Police Arshinder Singh Chawla said that the adopted daughter of the Dera Chief was arrested from Zirakpur-Patiala road at around 1500 hrs.
Honeypreet would be produced before the court tomorrow, he said and added the police would seek her remand.
He said the police would take action against those who had given shelter to her during the period she was on the run.
Honeypreet has been charged with sedition and hatching the ‘escape plan’ of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh after his conviction in two rape cases. (UNI)
