SRINAGAR: Authorities have snapped the mobile Internet services in south Kashmir in the wake of increasing braid-chopping incidents.

Locals said that the Internet service was shut around midnight without any prior information

An official said that the service has been snapped in Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian and Pulwama districts.

Dozens of incidents of braid chopping have been reported across the Valley.

A reward of Rs 6 lakh has also been announced for credible information on braid choppers.
