Srinagar, Oct 3,: Senior Superintendent of Police, Tahir Saleem Khan, who assumed the charge of (SSP) Traffic Srinagar city, Tuesday, said that there will be zero tolerance for violation of traffic rules in the summer capital.

Khan said he will seek the cooperation for people to make the traffic system better in Srinagar city. “Without people’s cooperation, it is somewhat difficult to make any headway. With the help of people we can change the course and make Srinagar congestion free,” Khan told news agency CNS.

“There will be zero tolerance for traffic violators but at the same time we will try to create mass awareness about traffic rules,” he said and added that major bottlenecks on the roads will be removed while action will be initiated against road vendors who are the major source of traffic jams.

SSP Traffic City appealed commuters to follow lane driving. “Commuters can make a big difference by developing sense of responsibility,” he said. (CNS)
