Kashmir Economic Alliance- an amalgam of business bodies of traders, hoteliers, transporters – on Thursday staged a protest against braid cutting incidents in Kashmir valley.

Holding placards and shouting slogans, the protesters assembled at Press Enclave in Srinagar to lodge their protest.

 

Earlier, Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA) Co-chairman addressed media near clock tower Lalchowk during sit in and expressed serious concerns over the incidents of braid chopping and urged locals, mohalla and masjid committees to keep close vigil over “miscreants involved in these immoral activities and expose them in public.”

Expressing concern over continues braid chopping incidents in valley Dar termed it a part of “deep rooted conspiracy”.

“The mass hysteria has gripped the whole state and it’s really frustrating as to how government is not able to identify and arrest those responsible for the mayhem. They have men and machinery at their disposal but unfortunately government is still clueless,” he said. “The honor of our daughters and mothers is supreme to us and that there should not be any compromise with it.”

He said that that the government should be proactive and immediately constitute a fact finding team that will ascertain all the facts behind the braid chopping incidents.
