Srinagar, Oct 10:ย  An amount of Rs 20 lakh has been sanctioned as compensation while two government jobs have been accorded in different militancy-related cases in north Kashmir district of Bandipora.
An official spokesperson here said District Level Screening Cum Coordination Committee (DLSCC) meeting was held here on Monday under the chairmanship of District Magistrate, Bandipora Sajjad Hussain.
โ€œThe committee discussed various cases and sanctioned Rs 20 lakh in favour of five militancy-related cases in lieu of Government employment,โ€ he said.
He said the committee also cleared two cases for Government employment, while one departmental case was recommend to the department concerned for verification.
โ€œOf all eight cases put up for discussion, seven have been cleared in the meeting,โ€ he said.
