Ganderbal: A policeman was held for allegedly taking pictures of girl on Manigam bypass in this Central Kashmir and the departmental inquiry has been initated against the policeman, police said.
According to initial reports, the cop was arrested after locals accused him of taking pictures of a girl near Manigam bypass. The cop was caught by a local people after noticing of brazen action with a girl name with held, on Manigam bypass.
Sources said the cop is posted with an IRP battalion in the district. He was handed over to the police by the locals who had assembled near the spot after hearing alarms of the girl on Saturday morning.
The incident occurred on Saturday morning where scores of people assembled on bypass. They were demanding action against the police officer.
The cop of IRP was later arrested by Ganderbal police and filed case in this regard, top police official said.
