SRINAGAR, OCT 16: District Tuberculosis Society and Epidemiology DHS (N.C.D) on the directions of Director General of Police, Prisons, S. K. Mishra constituted Medical Camp of highly qualified Medical Team to screen  all the (397) jail inmates including 22 female prisoners lodged in Central Jail Srinagar for Tuberculosis, Diabetes and Hypertension.

On spot medical prescription and dietary advice to the prisoners screened and suffering from Hypertension and diabetes were given to the prisoners in presence of Medical Officer Jail and other sub ordinate Medical Staff posted in Jail Hospital.

Further blood samples and Sputum Specimen were taken for clinical investigation to roll out possibility of prisoners suffering from Tuberculosis, it was decided after brief discussion that the outcome of the report will be delivered by the visiting Team itself in Central Jail Srinagar for further course of treatment.

The visiting team appreciated the efforts and cooperation’s taken by the jail authorities.
