Fire breaks out in PMO, doused within 20 minutes

New Delhi, Oct 18 : Fire broke out at the Prime Minister’s Office in South Block of Raisina Hills in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.
According to Divisional Fire Officer GS Chauhan, flames were seen coming out from a room on the second floor of the PMO, at around 0345 hrs. A split AC and a computer were gutted in the blaze, which was brought under control within 20 minutes.
Eight fire engines were pressed into service, while no casualty was reported in the incident, he added.
