Ganderbal: In its efforts to strengthen the police public relations, and to crack the cases of braid chopping, police public meet held in Lar area of Central district.
A special Police Public meeting was held in Lar area, chaired by SHO Lar Shri. Nisar Hurra, where a large number of people from nearby areas of Lar, Benhama and adjoining areas participated in this meeting.
At the outset of the meeting, the participants were warmly welcomed and appreciated by SHO Nisar Hurra for sparing their valuable time to attend the meeting.
While speaking on the occasion, SHO seeked help and support of public in order to solve the mystery of braid chopping. The officer also advised the participants that they should inform police in case they found any suspicious movement of any person and should refrain from taking law and order in their hands, he said.
He also emphasized upon the incidents of braid chopping and asserted that police is investigating each and every incident of braid chopping and people should not pay attention to the rumours.  Various other social issues also discussed during the police public meeting.
