Doda: A low intensity earthquake shook the various parts of the Chenab valley, including Doda, Bhaderwah and some parts of Kishtwar district, on Thursday. Reports said that people rushed out of their homes as the quake struck at 6:40 am. The epicenter of the quake that lasted for few seconds was not immediately known. There was no report of any loss to life or the property. People of Chenab valley are apprehensive of tremors after a study of the US scientists published last year predicted that there is a possibility of major earthquake in J&K.”
