Ludhiana, Oct 19 : Two Punjab police head constables were suspended on Thursday for not pursuing the complaint of motorcycle theft received on October 10 as the bike was allegedly used in the murder of RSS leader Ravindra Gosain and was found abandoned on the Ludhiana-Jalandhar highway.
The same stolen motorcycle was used by the two masked assailants in killing of Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) leader Ravinder Gosain outside his home in Ludhiana on October 17.
Suspended head constables Balraj and Deep Chand had not pursued the complaint of motorcycle theft filed by Lohara resident Rohit Pal, the owner of the bike, at the Miller Ganj police post on October 10.
The motorcycle was stolen from Miller Ganj.
The motorcycle was found abandoned at Manj Phaguwal village on the Jalandhar-Ludhiana highway on Wednesday morning.
