SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 20:  Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has condoled the demise of noted educationist and prominent intellectual, Peer Saifuddin Saifi, popularly known as Saifi Sopori, who passed away last evening at Sopore.

In her condolence message, Mehbooba Mufti described late Saifi sahib as one of the great educational administrators of his times who contributed a lot in laying the edifice of educational system in the Valley, particularly in north Kashmir.

Besides, the Chief Minister said, with his unmatched command over Urdu, Persian and Arabic languages, late Saifi sahib enriched the literature by a great measure. “In his death, an era has come to an end,” the Chief Minister remarked.

Mehbooba Mufti has prayed for eternal solace to the departed soul and conveyed her sympathies to the bereaved family.
