Srinagar: Pakistan today violated ceasefire in Kamalkote sector of Uri in Baramulla district of north Kashmir and resorted to firing on army posts on Sunday, officials said.

A senior police official told GNS that the Pakistan troopers targeted soldiers in Kamalkote along LoC.

“The Pakistan army started firing at 10:50 am and continued till 11:20 am. The army manning the fence returned the fire”.

The official said that there was no loss of life or injury to anyone in the firing.

Pertinently, an army porter was killed and a teenager girl injured after Pakistani troops allegedly resorted unprovoked firing in the same area yesterday. (GNS)
