New Delhi, Oct 28: The BJP’s Bihar alliance partner Nitish Kumar led JD(U) on Saturday announced that it will contest the Gujarat Assembly election on its own and will not form an alliance with the BJP.
“Earlier also we have contested from our traditional seats in Gujarat” party general secretary KC Tyagi told reporters here.
“We will not form any alliance with any party, including the BJP”, he said.
“We don’t need to consult or take permission from anyone to contest election.
Party will take its own decision”, he responded to a question on whether the party had consulted the BJP.
