Jammu, Oct 31: Lashing out at the PDP-BJP coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir, mainstream opposition National Conference on Tuesday demanded appointment of special audit of the Union Government to probe utilisation of funds sanctioned by the Centre.
‘’Enquiry Commission should be appointed on various workings of the department in the state,’’ Devendra Singh Rana, provincial president, National Conference told reporters here this afternoon.
He said, ‘I appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to appoint special audit of Government of India to see where is the money coming from the Centre in Jammu and Kashmir is going.
’’ ‘’Is the money really being utilised properly or filling the coffers of who are in power in Jammu and Kashmir, is needed to be probed,’’ said Mr Rana.
He said, ‘’Me along with MLA Bishnah Kamal Arora, have boycott the District Development Board (DDB) meeting chaired by the Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh because they don’t want to listen to the our issues of concern.
