Baramulla, Nov 1: Security forces launched a search operation against militants in the frontier district of Kupwara, where police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two Pulwama youth before they could cross over to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) for receiving arms training.
Official source said Army, Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint search operation at Hyhama in the frontier district of Kupwara on Wednesday following a tip off about the presence of militants.
The entire area was sealed and exit points sealed, they said adding the search operation was going on when the reports last came in. However, so far no contact was established in the area, they added.
