Srinagar:  The Indian army Sunday claimed to have killed two militants along the Line of Control in Uri sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

“An infiltration bid was foiled in Uri sector and two terrorists have been killed,” an Army official said here.

He added that the operation is still in progress.  A large number of trained militants are waiting in launch pads near LoC in PaK to sneak into this side before the infiltration routes are closed due to snowfall. However, security forces are already on high alert to foil any infiltration attempts.

Meanwhile, Director General of Police (DGP) S P Vaid said that security forces foiled an attack by Border Action Team (BAT) of Pakistan near the LoC in Uri sector.

“BAT action bid foiled by Army and JKP. Two terrorists killed in Dulanja Uri. No casualty on our side. Possible tragedy averted,” Dr Vaid wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
