Ganderbal: Police has claimed to have arrested a drug peddler in Ganderbal and seized charas from his possession.
Continuing its strong action against the drug menace, police party from Police Station Safapora led by SHO Safapora SI Mudasir Ahmad and under the supervision of DySP Ganderbal Dr. Rameez Raja (KPS), on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Fayaz Ahmad Lone (KPS), started naka checking/ patrolling under the jurisdictions of Police station Safapora and apprehended one person who was identified as Bilal Ahmad Bhat S/O: Ghulam Nabi Bhat R/O: Ganistan.
While searching the suspect one plastic bag containing charas powder was recovered from his possession, Bilal (peddler) was arrested and plastic bag containing charas powder to be 1100gm in weight was seized/sealed on spot .
In this regard case F.I.R NO: 38/2017 under Sextion 8/20 NDPS ACT Registered against peddler and investigation was taken up.
