New Delhi/Gurugram, Nov 9: The Central Bureau of Investigation on Thursday continued interrogation of a 16-year-old student of Ryan International School of Gurgaon held on Tuesday night for allegedly murdering seven year old schoolmate Pradyuman Thakur on September 8.

On the other hand, Gurugram Police Commissioner Sandeepa Kherwar at a news conference today refuted the charge that police had botched up the probe, saying that theyโ€˜โ€™were moving logically in the direction where the evidence led.

He said the police was not given time to complete the probe, and now that the probe was in CBI hand, they would not comment on the evidence on which the agency had held the 16-year-old boy for the murder.

The accused was arrested from his Gurugaram residence at around 2330 hrs on Tuesday night, after a thorough investigation, including CCTV footage and forensic evidence, it added.

Mr Khirwar said they were not were not given the forensic report, and they had handed over all the evidence to the CBI.
