Srinagar, Nov 14 : Despite chilly weather, the 454th Urs of Hazrat Sultan-ul-Aarfeen Sheikh Hamza Makhdoom sahib was celebrated throughout the Kashmir valley with religious fervour and gaiety on Tuesday.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, main opposition National Conference (NC) and separatists, religious and other leaders have greeted people on the occasion.

Braving chill, thousands of devotees, including women and children, joined the night-long prayers at the shrine of Hazrat Makhdoom Sahib, also known as Mehboob-ul-Aalam on the hill of Kohi-e-Maraan, where a temple is also located on other side of the hill. There is also Gurudwara Chatipadshahi on the foot of the hill.
