Panchkula : Haryana Police on Tuesday filed charge sheet against Honeypreet Insan,the adopted daughter of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim, and 14 others accused in a local court here in connection with the August 25 violence in Panchkula and Sirsa.
According to the charge sheet filed by the Special Investigation Team (SIT), probing the case, in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Honeypreet played a major role before and during the violence that occurred in Panchkula and Sirsa after the special CBI court in Panchkula convicted Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh on August 25 in two cases of rapes.
As many as 42 people were killed and over 200 injured in the police action to curb the violence.
