SRINAGAR | DEC 01: Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi is being celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety in the Kashmir valley today with Muslims taking out Milad processions and offering prayers.

Thousands of devotees, including women and children, thronged the Hazratbal shrine that houses the relic of the Prophet of Islam (SAW).

The devotees offered congregational Friday prayers at the shrine. Night-long prayers were also held at the shrine besides the mosques, shrines and Khankhas across the Kashmir valley.

Various religious and social organizations organized Seerat programmes and Milad processions were taken out at many places where speakers highlighted various aspects of the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
