New Delhi, Dec 1 : The Chinese warships at Gwadar port would be a matter of concern, said Navy Chief Admiral Sunil Lanba here on Friday.

“If the Naval ships of People’s Liberation Army(PLA) Navy are at Pakistan‘s Gwadar Port in future, it would be a matter of concern for us, we will see and mitigate the challenge,” the Chief of the Naval Staffs said while addressing annual press conference.

Chinese commercial companies have acquired major share in the port but I am not aware of Gwadar is to be used by Chinese submarine or warships, Admiral Lanba said. It’s a commercial harbour, and part of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), he added.
