132 BLOs removed in Tripura for violating election rules

Agartala, Dec 5 : The District Election Officer (DEO) of West Tripura  Dr Milind Ramteke has removed 132 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of the district for violating election procedures in electoral rolls.

Dr Ramteke, the West Tripura District Magistrate, today said the BLOs  have been removed from their post as they had violated certain election  procedures in their work.

Altogether 29 BLOs were removed from Jirania sub-division, 31 from  Sidhai Mohanpur sub-division and 72 from Sadar sub-division.

Ramteke said, District Cell Mechanism has been opened in West Tripura  district office premises for attending various complaints from the voters  regarding electoral rolls and duplicity of voters from political parties
according to the instructions of the Election Commission of India (ECI).

He stated that the complaints can be submitted through letters, orally,  facebook, district administration’s website calling through toll free number 1077.
