Srinagar, Dec 6: Train service was resumed on Wednesday between Srinagar-Banihal after remaining suspended yesterday for security reasons following the death of three Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants and a soldier in an encounter in Kulgam district in south Kashmir on December 4.

‘We resumed the service and all trains will run as per schedule,’ a railway official said.

He said first train run started from Budgam-Srinagar in the central Kashmir to Anantnag-Qazigund and Banihal in Jammu region early this morning.
