JAMMU | DEC 08 : Police said on first December 2017 a case FIR no. 61/2017 under section 489A,489B was registered at police station Chassana as an amount of Rupees 6000 fake currency 12 notes of rupees 500 each which was used by one person namely Mohd Maqbool S/O Abdul Rasheed resident of Sungri tehsil Chassana.

SSP Reasi Tahir Sajad Bhat told PTK that Mohd Maqbool was arrested by Police on 06-12-2017,immediately a SIT was constituted under the supervision of SDPO Mahore Mujeeb ur Rehman(JKPS),SHO Chassana sub inspector Ali Imran, Head constable Mohd Iqbal and others under the overall supervision of SSP Reasi Tahir Sajad Bhat,which worked out the case and busted the fake currency rocket.

Police officer said the main accused Showkat Ahmed S/O Abdul Gani Dar resident of Nooupura Kulgam at present Jammu was arrested at Sidra Jammu during the intervening night of 06-12-2017 living in a rented house said police officer.

He added the recoveries made by police are rupees 500 denominations -1150 notes, rupees 200 denominations -270 notes, rupees 50 denominations -19 notes. Total amount of fake currency seized by police was rupees 6, 30,950.

Police officer further said the tools used for making fake currency was also seized by police, one computer including CPU and monitor, one scanner and computer keyboard, paper cutting machine, paper cutter and bundle of photocopy papers said police. (PTK)
