Despite rain Kashmir highway through, Leh and Mughal roads closed

Srinagar, Dec 11 : The 434-km-long Srinagar-Leh national highway, connecting Ladakh region with Kashmir, has been closed for winter months while Kashmir highway was through for traffic despite rain.

The 86-km-long historic Mughal road, linking Shopian in South Kashmir with Rajouri and Poonch in Jammu region has been closed for any traffic movement following fresh snowfall since early this morning.

Meanwhile, authorities across the Kashmir valley have geared up all resources to meet any challenge following snow on upper reaches and rain in plains, including summer capital, Srinagar since early this morning.
