New Delhi, Dec 12 : The Supreme Court on Tuesday indicated that it was impossible to suspend the jail sentence of a convict, AG Perarivalan, in the May, 1991, Rajiv Gandhi assassination case.

The electronics engineer, who had supplied two batteries which were used to detonate the human bomb, had sough remission of the rest of his life term sentence.

Perarivalan had also challenged the MDMA (Multi Disciplinary Monitoring Agency) probe in the case.
