Washington, Dec 13 : US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has said that the country is ready to begin talks with North Korea ‘without preconditions’.
Addressing the Atlantic Council think tank in Washington on Tuesday, Mr Tillerson said, “We’re ready to have the first meeting without precondition.”
The Secretary of state’s remarks appeared to mark a shift in state department policy, which had previously required proof of North Korea’s nuclear disarmament. (UNI)
