Srinagar, Dec 15 : Tasaduq Mufti, the brother of CM Mehbooba Mufti quits as Coordinator CM’s grievance cell. The decision of Tasaduq is seen as in backdrop of the recent news where it was reported that he may be inducted in state cabinet.
In a letter to state Chief Secretary B B Vyas, Tasaduq submitted his resignation from the post of Co-ordinator CM’s grievance cell with immediate effect.
The resignation of Tasaduq comes at a time when there are rumors about his induction in State cabinet. The political pandits suggest that the resignation is a part of the mechanism to pave his way for his induction in the cabinet.
Pertinently, the J&K government in May this year appointed award-winning cinematographer Tasaduq Mufti, brother of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, as Coordinator of the CM’s Grievance Cell after he formally joined PDP in January, before which he took interest in governance issues.
Tasaduq was the PDP candidate from Anantnag Lok Sabha seat, for which elections have been deferred by the Election Commission of India.
