Srinagar, Dec 26 : Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Mehmood Shah while paying tributes to slain Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) militant commander Noor Muhammad alias Noor Trali said people will rise against the “illegal Indian occupation” at all levels.

“The Indian agencies had arrested Commander Noor Muhammad for being a Kashmiri under the act of POTA, a law passed by Indian lawmakers to suppress the indigenous freedom struggle of Kashmir,” Shah was quoted as saying by the outfit spokesperson Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi in a statement issued to a local news agency GNS.

“The tyranny Indian forces upon the innocent people of Kashmir forced the Commander Noor Muhammad to join the ranks of freedom fighters,” Mehmood Shah said.

He said Kashmiris prefer “death with honour over the life of slavery” and “such a path is an exemplary model for the youth wishing to end the barbaric Indian rule”.

“India forces will face resistance from the nook and corner of the Valley till they quit Kashmir,” Lashkar chief said and hailed the people of Samboora, Awantipora for their support. (GNS)
