Islamabad, Dec 27 : In response to India’s contentions that shoes of former naval officer Kulbhushan Jadhav’s wife Chetankul Jadhav were not returned to her after the meeting, Pakistan foreign office spokesperson Muhammad Faisal has said that the decision was taken on ‘security grounds’.

Pakistan has categorically rejected India’s allegations that Jadhav’s family was harassed and termed them as baseless.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Dr Faisal said that if Indian concerns were serious, the guests or the Indian Deputy High Commissioner should have raised them during the visit with the media which was readily available.
