Srinagar, Dec 28 : A Pakistani militant and three suspected Over Ground Workers (OGWs) were arrested from Chichloora area of Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.

Official sources told GNS that a special team of Cargo and 2 RR raided at Chichloora, Kunzar and detained four persons along with arms and ammunitions including grenades and AK rifles. A vehicle has also been seized in which they were travelling in at the time when the joint team intercepted them.

Sources identified OGWs as Jammel Ahmad Bhat (20) son of Ghulam Mohidin and Amir Ahmad Bhat (18) son of Khazir Bhat. “Another person is said to be the driver of the vehicle namely Mohd Yaseen Bhat of Pattan”.

Sources said that fourth one was believed to be a militant from Pakistan and he has been identified as Sajid.

A senior police official, meanwhile, confirmed the arrests of three OGWs but refuted that a militant from Pakistan has been arrested. The officer did not divulge further details with regard to the incident. (GNS)
