Srinagar: Clashes between protesters and government forces erupted at Khrew Chowk Pampore Monday while the Lethpora gunfight goes on. Pampore is the nearest town of Lethpora.
Meanwhile, a complete shutdown is being observed in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district against the killing of two Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militants in Lethpora gunfight.
Sources said Thousands of people on Monday took part in the funeral of slain Jaish militant Fardeen Ahmad Khandey in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Khandey was killed along with an associate Manzoor Ahmad Baba after they mounted an attack on CRPF training centre in Lethpora area of Awantipora.

Shutdown is being observed in Pulwama, Pampore, Tral, Awantipora and other interior areas of Pulwama district.
