Srinagar, Jan 5: Life returned to normal on Friday after remaining affected due to shutdown for four days in Pulwama in south Kashmir,where five Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed and three Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militants were killed in a fierce encounter after a group of fidayeen stormed into a camp in the wee hours of Sunday.

Shops and business establishments are open and traffic is also plying on all routes normally. Work in government offices, banks and tuition and coaching centres was also normal.

However, additional security forces and state police personnel remained deployed in main town and tehsil headquarters to prevent any untoward incident. Security forces remained deployed at Pampore and Awantipora to prevent stone pelting on the highway.
