Srinagar, Jan 8 : Two-way Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) traffic has been restored while Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) will continue to ply one-way on Monday on the national highway, connecting Kashmir valley with the rest of the country.

The national highway, lining the Ladakh region with Kashmir and historic Mughal road remained closed. Traffic remained suspended on the road between Bandipora and border town of Gurez due to slippery road conditions for the past three days.

However, traffic on Sadhna top, connecting district headquarter, Kupwara, with far flung and remote areas, including border towns of Tangdhar and Machil, has been restored after recent snow avalanche that left 11 persons, including a Beacon official dead.
