Gurugram, Jan 8 : A District Court here on Monday dismissed the bail application of a 16-year-old student who was accused of killing the Standard II pupil Pradyuman Thakur at Ryan International School at Gurugram.

On September 8, 2017, Pradyuman, a student of Ryan International School, was found with his throat slit in the washroom. It was alleged that the teenager had killed Pradyuman in a bid to get the school closed so that a parent teacher meeting could be deferred.

Additional Sessions Judge Jasbir Singh Kundu was hearing an appeal filed by the accused against an order of the Juvenile Justice Board( JJB). The Board had earlier rejected the bail application of the Class 11 Ryan International School student by saying in its order that the accused was mature enough to recognise the consequences of his actions.
