Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday appointed Dr Omar Javed Shah as interim director of SKIMS until further orders.
“Dr Omar Javed Shah, Professor Surgical GE and Dean Medical Faculty, SKIMS shall hold the charge of Director, SKIMS and ex-officio secretary to government, in addition to his own duties, till further orders,” read an official order.
The order comes hours after the Jammu and Kashmir High Court stayed the state government’s order of removing Director, SKIMS, Dr A G Ahangar and attaching him with the general administration department last week.
