Srinagar, Jan 18 : Traffic on the national highway, the only road linking the Kashmir valley with the rest of the country, was resumed on after remaining suspended Wednesday night due to slippery road conditions following fresh snowfall.

Meanwhile, dozens of far-flung and remote villages, including those near the Line of Control (LoC), were cut off with their respective district headquarters in north Kashmir districts of Kupwara and Bandipora following closure of the Sadhna and Razdan passes due to fresh snowfall.

The national highway, connecting Ladakh region with Kashmir and historic Mughal road remained closed.
