Srinagar, Jan 26 : Jammu and Kashmir Police has detained a non-local woman, who was suspected to be a suicide bomber, in Kashmir valley, where the 69th Republic Day (RD) was on Friday celebrated peacefully under unprecedented security arrangements.

However, police chief in Kashmir Muneer Khan said the police would talk to the woman and verify facts before reaching to a conclusion.
“We had an input about a suspect.
Fortunately, after working on all the leads, we were able to apprehend the suspect late last night,” Mr Khan told reporters here.

Mr Khan, who refused to divulge any more details, said, “We will be talking to her (suspect) and to our sister agencies.
