Virudhunagar, Jan 28:  A father and son were killed and another person seriously injured, after their car rammed into the rear-side of a stationary lorry at Maruloothu village on the Madurai-Kanyakumari four lane, here on Sunday.

Police said the deceased were identified as Thyagarajan (60) and his son Arul Prasath (29), hailing from Kadayanallur in Tirunelveli district.
They were running a travel agency in Chennai.
They were proceeding to Chennai after visiting their native village, when the mishap occurred.

Driver of the car Raja (28) was admitted to the Government Rajaji Hospital at Madurai in a serious condition, they added.
