Jammu, Jan 29: Reacting over the Shopian killings, Congress party Monday said that budding new generation of Kashmir is being uprooted through senseless killings.

Talking to reporters, senior Congress leader and Member of Legislative Council, Advocate Ghulam Nabi Monga said that bullet is not a reply to a stone. He said nowhere in the world bullets are fired upon those who resort to stone-pelting.

“Shopian like incidents will occur in future as well, if you don’t punish the guilty this time. FIR should be taken to its logical conclusion and perpetrators should not be given escape route,” Monga said.

He said that Kashmir is a political issue that needs to be resolved. (CNS)
