Srinagar, Jan 31 : Roads to dozens of villages, including those near the Line of Control (LoC), remained closed for second successive day on Wednesday due to intermittent heavy to very snowfall since Monday night.

โ€œDue to snow, the roads leading to Sadhna top, Razdan pass, Z-Gali and Phirkiyan remained closed for the second day on Wednesday,” a traffic official told UNI.

โ€œThe road from Bandipora to border town of Gurez, surrounded by Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) from three sides, remained closed due to accumulation of over three feet of snowfall at Razdan pass.
It was snowing last night at Razdan pass,โ€ he said.

The road remained open this winter due to less snowfall at Razdan pass, he said, adding in the past Gurez and other border areas used to remain closed for six-winter months due to heavy snowfall.
